4. Run the buffer solution through the column for 3–5 column volume (CV) (or
manufacturer’s specification).
5. Run degassed deionized water through the column for 3–5 CV (or
manufacturer’s specification).
6. Run the manufacturer’s recommended reagent through the column for 3–5 CV
(or manufacturer’s specification).
7. Run degassed deionized water through the column for 10 CV (or
manufacturer’s specification).
8. (Optional) Store the column in 20% ethanol (or manufacturer’s specification).
